Components of Blood:
1. Red Blood Cells (RBCs):
Carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and remove carbon dioxide.
Contain hemoglobin, a protein that binds oxygen.
2. White Blood Cells (WBCs):
Defend the body against infections and foreign invaders.
3. Platelets:
Help with blood clotting to stop bleeding when you get injured.
4. Plasma:
The liquid part of blood, making up about 55% of its volume.
Carries hormones, nutrients, waste products, and proteins like antibodies.
Blood Types:
There are four main blood types: A, B, AB, and O, each of which can be positive or negative, depending on the Rh factor.
Functions of Blood:
Oxygen Transport: Delivers oxygen to tissues and organs.
Nutrient Delivery: Carries nutrients from the digestive tract to cells.
Waste Removal: Transports waste products to the liver, kidneys, and lungs for elimination.
Immune Defense: WBCs fight infections.
Clotting: Platelets prevent excessive bleeding.
Temperature Regulation: Helps maintain body temperature.
Blood cleansing with ginger and lemon
Lemon and ginger have purifying properties, meaning they will cleanse the body, and especially the blood, of all the waste it contains. Used together, this virtue of ginger and lemon is multiplied, which is beneficial for blood circulation and the elimination of bad cholesterol.
Ginger will warm your body, activate your perspiration and activate your mucous membranes by warming your lungs. This will have the effect of preventing and/or chasing away the perverse effects of the cold (note that warming the body is also an asset for losing weight).
Lemon, for its part, helps prevent certain types of cancer such as stomach, mouth, colon, esophagus and pharynx cancer. It also has the virtue of preventing certain cardiovascular diseases and calming all types of inflammation. This is also why it is recommended to drink a tea or an infusion of ginger and lemon in the morning.
